This just in from the Yahoo Uncle Floyd Show group:
"It is the sad duty of this correspondant to report that C. M. (Mugsy)
Calam has departed the mortal plane of existance at 11:35 PM EDT this date (10-24-2005) while surrounded by friends, fellow cast members and
extended showbiz family at his bedside. He was thanked by all for the
laughs and music he gifted us with throughout his lifetime. He was
given a standing ovation, bid a fond and loving good night. He then
passed peacefully about 25 minutes later.

If at all possible, we will continue this club in his memory."
i was just watching an episode of match game. gene rayburn finished asking a question and the laugh track kicked in. rayburn immediately turned to someone off camera and rebuked them, "its not that funny, sam." i suppose he thought theyd cut that bit out.

Someone makes the point that the top of the addition looks "lopped off." Agreed, from the original plan photos I thought it would be tapering, not boxy at the top. From the ground it does appear to taper. But from the side, at a distance, you can see it's just another damn box with a fake geodesic exterior. And the relationship to the "base"--hoo wheee. Check out the photos in the thread of the Urban Ziegfeld interiors--wild!
