interesting cartographic anomaly.

Marble Hill's borders are defined by the course of the original Harlem River, which was also the northernmost end of Manhattan. In the 19th century, the Harlem River Ship Canal was constructed, but Marble Hill is still legally part of Manhattan. Marble Hill, including the MNR station, is still south of the original Harlem River (now buried), despite being on the north shore of the Harlem River Ship Canal. So that makes it as in the borders of Manhattan, legally, despite not being on the island of Manhattan.

my god. knicks game 2 was just an amuse bouche. they pulled it out against a deeply depleted heat to even the series at 1 a piece. game 1 of lakers v warriors starts now. as been noted by everyone nba-related i follow, its a wet dream for nba/tv execs. one more lebron-curry matchup, the two most marketable players/teams of the last 25 years. neither at their apex anymore but each has won a championship in the last three years.

if you want to call a fellow a reporter a fucking cunt even as a woman and perhaps deservedly so, apparently you best not get it caught on camera.

the key element in the tankie mindset is the simple-minded assumption that only the U.S. can be imperialist, and thus any country that opposes the U.S. must be supported. As author and human rights activist Leila Al-Shami put it several years ago, “The pro-fascist left seems blind to any form of imperialism that is non-western in origin. It combines identity politics with egoism. Everything that happens is viewed through the prism of what it means for westerners

impressive one-two punch at the end of the lakers game to send it to ot. unfortunately the heave by lebron james was after the buzzer but such a defiant block and quick release shot.

busy tv time.

got hung up mid season of season 2 of the white lotus. always irksome when a wife finds a condom in husbands room but it isnt his but she thinks it is which is where i turned it off. hopefully that will resolve itself sooner than later.

succession is full steam ahead to the finish. all caught up on that. same with season 2 of yellowjackets which stumbled out of the gate. im all in but its a slow burn.

still never finished season 3 of barry as it got dark and depressing but season 4 which is end game started so figure to get to that at some point.

never made it through ep 1 of poker face nor season 2 of russian doll. dark times for natasha lyonne.

ted lasso is ending its three season run. was almost out on it but up to date on it so far.

This giant meatball above was made from flesh cultivated using the DNA of an extinct woolly mammoth. It was created by Australian cultured meat company Vow, which said it wanted to get people talking about cultured meat, calling it a more sustainable alternative to real meat.
